Fort Dorchester put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Stratford Knights a 17-0 shutout. The Patriots' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three games.

Mila Lorenzano made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (two).

In other batting news, Hailey Greatrex was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Destiny Copeland, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.

Fort Dorchester was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .727. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .353 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Fort Dorchester's win bumped their record up to 5-0.

Coming up, Fort Dorchester will be playing in front of their home fans against Beaufort at 7:00 p.m. on March 10th. As for Stratford, they will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Non Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
