Soccer Recap: St. Stephens vs. South Point
If St. Stephens was riding high fresh off their 7-0 takedown of North Gaston last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The St. Stephens Indians came up short against the South Point Red Raiders on Wednesday, falling 3-0. One thing that didn't help the Indians' chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Maximo DiNardo.
St. Stephens now has a losing record at 3-4-1. As for South Point, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1-3.
St. Stephens will face off against Asheville at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Asheville will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something St. Stephens surely won't give up without a fight. As for South Point, they will challenge Forestview at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Forestview will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each game than the last.
