Basketball Recap: Hanceville Comes Up Short

Hanceville suffered their biggest defeat since December 5, 2024 on Friday. They were beaten by the Vinemont Eagles 74-36. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Hanceville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Vinemont, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hanceville will head out to face off against Locust Fork at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hanceville is facing Locust Fork at the right time seeing as Locust Fork is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Vinemont, they will challenge Holly Pond at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Holly Pond sitting on four straight victories and Vinemont on three.
