Basketball Game Preview: Monroe Vikings vs. Chavez Eagles

Monroe is on a four-game streak of home losses, Chavez a 13-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Monday. The Monroe Vikings will welcome the Chavez Eagles at 4:30 p.m. The two teams are at an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but likely not for long.

On Saturday, Monroe came up short against San Fernando Valley Academy and fell 68-58. While the Vikings didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Huskies 15-7 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Chavez had to suffer through a 80-30 loss at the hands of North Hollywood.

Chavez's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Monroe, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.

Everything came up roses for Monroe against Chavez in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 72-35 win. Will Monroe repeat their success, or does Chavez have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
