Basketball Recap: Oak Hill Takes a Loss

Oak Hill lost against Tipton back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Oak Hill Golden Eagles fell 56-47 to the Tipton Blue Devils.

Tipton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Grady Carpenter out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine assists. Carpenter's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Auler, who posted 12 points and six boards.

Oak Hill's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Tipton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Oak Hill and Tipton should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. Oak Hill will face off against Elwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday up 288 places (136 vs. 424). Meanwhile, Tipton (ranked 108th) will meet Benton Central (ranked 261st) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
