The Greensboro Day School Bengals made easy work of the Greater Vision Academy Lions on Thursday and carried off an 18-1 victory. Considering the Bengals have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Greensboro Day School got a massive performance out of Luke Ray, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That home run marked the first that Ray launched this season. Another player making a difference was Trevor Waters, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3.

Greensboro Day School was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .714. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Greensboro Day School pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.4 runs over those games. As for Greater Vision Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Greensboro Day School wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-3 win against Cornerstone Charter on the 28th. As for Greater Vision Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Riverside Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. Riverside Christian Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Greater Vision Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
