Soccer Recap: Hickory Ridge vs. South Iredell        
        
		
             The matchup between Hickory Ridge and South Iredell  on Thursday hardly resembled the  2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls' defense stepped up to hand the South Iredell Vikings  a   9-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Ragin' Bulls, who have now won five contests by three  goals or more  so far this season.
 Their offense was hitting South Iredell from everywhere, as eight different players booted in a goal. 
 Kyle Matthews led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.
 The  victory was  the fourth in a row for Hickory Ridge, bringing their record for this year to 12-2-1. As for South Iredell, they dropped their record down to 4-11-1 with the  defeat, which was their fifth straight  on the road.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hickory Ridge will stay at home for another  game and welcome Lake Norman at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Lake Norman will roll in looking for their  ninth straight  win, something Hickory Ridge surely won't give up without a fight. As for South Iredell, they will look to defend their home pitch  on Thursday against A.L. Brown  at 7:00  p.m.
