Softball Game Preview: Meadowdale Mavericks vs. Shorewood Stormrays

The Meadowdale Mavericks will challenge the Shorewood Stormrays at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Meadowdale's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.

On Friday, Meadowdale got the win against Shorecrest by a conclusive 19-2. The Mavericks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Meadowdale got a massive performance out of Jaeden Sajec, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Mitchell, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple.

Meadowdale was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .531. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Shorewood fell victim to Edmonds-Woodway and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Stormrays haven't been shut out since back in March.

Shorewood saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lillian Perreault, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Shorewood's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Meadowdale, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.
