West Linn is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Sumner. The Lions walked away with a 31-24 win over the Spartans. The victory was just business as usual for the Lions, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Despite the loss, Sumner still got an impressive performance from Lance McGee, who rushed for 292 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 8.1 yards per carry.

West Linn's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Sumner, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Linn will face off against Camas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sumner, they will square off against South Kitsap at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Spartans their first taste of in-conference action this season.
