Volleyball Recap: West Comes Up Short

If West was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Whitney on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans came up short against the Clifton Cubs on Friday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cubs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-16, 25-20.

West's defeat dropped their record down to 15-15. As for Clifton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. West will face off against rival Troy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Clifton is set to take on their familiar foe Whitney at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
