Soccer Game Preview: Hempstead vs. Navasota

Hempstead hasn't had much luck against Navasota recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Hempstead Bobcats will square off against the Navasota Rattlers at 5:15 p.m.

Hempstead is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They lost 8-0 to Sealy. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 720th, while the Tigers are ranked 123rd).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Navasota). Their defense stepped up to hand Harmony School of Innovation Sugar Land a 12-0 shutout on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Rattlers needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.

Navasota's win bumped their record up to 4-6-1. As for Hempstead, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7-1.
