Basketball Recap: Nash Central Extends Winning Streak to Four

Nash Central came tearing into Monday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Bunn Wildcats 54-33. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 42-32 win last Monday.

Nash Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from JaKayla Gay, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Gay's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Marquasia Warren, who went 6-for-14 on her way to 14 points and five steals.

Nash Central smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in five consecutive games.

Bunn's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sasha Alaffita, who posted nine points. The dominant performance gave Alaffita a new career-high in points.

Nash Central's victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Bunn, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-15.

As of now, neither Nash Central nor Bunn have any future games scheduled.
