Football Recap: Stanwood Picks Up Eighth Straight Win at Home + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stanwood). They blew past the Everett Seagulls 49-28 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Spartans considering their 13-point performance the game before.

Everett's loss came despite strong showings from Ian Lorio and Kai Schmidt. Lorio rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns, while Schmidt picked up 82 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Stanwood pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.8 points on average over those games. As for Everett, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.
