Volleyball Recap: North Takes a Loss + How To Watch

North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Douglas Tigers, falling 3-0. The Polar Bears were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

While North ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-20, 25-18.

Douglas' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emily Pacheco led the charge by getting eight aces and four digs. Those eight aces gave Pacheco a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zoe Greenough, who had seven kills and five digs.

North's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Douglas, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-10 record this season.

North has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Burncoat on the 10th. As for Douglas, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Millbury on the 10th.
