Mt. Vernon entered their tilt with Greenfield-Central on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 8-2 victory. It was an even better day for Esther Isger as she scored five goals for her team.

Mt. Vernon's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Greenfield-Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
