Nyack scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 42-32 to the Lakeland Hornets. The Red Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Nyack lost, don't look at Abdul Durosinmi. Despite the final result, he rushed for 145 yards and two TDs on only 15 carries. Another player making a difference was Devin Bierfeldt, who rushed for 116 yards and a pair of scores on only 11 carries.

Nyack is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. As for Lakeland, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Nyack will face off against Fox Lane at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lakeland, they will take on Brewster at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bears' defense has only allowed 13.4 points per game this season, so the Hornets' offense will have their work cut out for them.
