Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hamilton County). They claimed a resounding 75-40 victory over the Carrier Mills-Stonefort Wildcats. Given the Foxes' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 193rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 693rd), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hamilton County's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Carrier Mills-Stonefort, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-11.

Hamilton County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-52 defeat against Edwards County on the 27th.
