While Corinth Holders's win against Willow Spring wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pirates sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over the Storm on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pirates have posted since March 3rd.
The result came thanks to Elizabeth McKenzie's shutout, as she gave up just eight hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
