While Corinth Holders's win against Willow Spring wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pirates sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over the Storm on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pirates have posted since March 3rd.

The result came thanks to Elizabeth McKenzie's shutout, as she gave up just eight hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ava Marks, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

The victory made it two in a row for Corinth Holders and bumps their season record up to 14-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Willow Spring, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.
