The Morse Tigers will challenge the Bayfront Charter Sharks at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Morse has three straight wins, Bayfront Charter has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Morse is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against La Jolla on Friday as they made off with a 22-8 victory. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by eight runs or more this season.

Reylyn Sakamoto made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Abby Okita was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four stolen bases and four runs. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hailey Truby, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.
Morse was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .613. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Bayfront Charter came up short against Liberty Charter on Thursday and fell 7-2.
Gabriella Loera made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.
Morse's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Bayfront Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.
Bayfront Charter's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Morse has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .458. It's a different story for Bayfront Charter, though, as they've only averaged .290. Will they be able to contain Morse's hitters?
Morse took their victory against Bayfront Charter in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 11-1 score. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Sharks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
