Football Recap: Cheyenne Comes Up Short

Cheyenne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Moapa Valley Pirates, falling 36-0.

Summer Katich had a dynamite game for Moapa Valley, throwing for 211 yards and four touchdowns. Those four passing touchdowns gave Katich a new career-high.

Cheyenne's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Moapa Valley, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Cheyenne wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 59-0 loss against Foothill on the 12th. As for Moapa Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 32-12 win against Eldorado on the 13th.
