Volleyball Recap: Marion Takes a Loss

Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Central Christian Academy Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Tuesday.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-14.

Hailey Harshman paced Marion's offense, picking up five kills. Harshman got some help from Shaliah Ensley and her eight assists.

Marion's loss dropped their record down to 11-19. As for Central Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 24-11 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Lions beat Marion by a score of 2-0 later that day.
