Basketball Recap: Greenwood Christian Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Greenwood Christian had won seven straight home games and Isaiah Scott-Palacios did his part to make it eight on Tuesday. The Greenwood Christian Hawks simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Laurens Academy Crusaders 63-27 thanks in part to Scott-Palacios, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Andrew Seigler, who posted seven points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in boards (four).

Greenwood Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Laurens Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Greenwood Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 82-72 victory against Thornwell on the 16th. Laurens Academy has also already played their next match (against Wardlaw Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
