Softball Recap: Vina Takes a Loss

If Vina was riding high fresh off their 7-0 takedown of Covenant Christian on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Red Devils fell just short of the Cherokee Indians by a score of 10-9 on Tuesday. The Red Devils haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Vina got a big performance out of Braxtyn Quinn, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. Lindie Easterling was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Vina's loss dropped their record down to 14-21. As for Cherokee, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Vina will challenge Lynn at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cherokee, they will take on Phillips at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
