I Northern - High Desert recap November 13, 2013
Reed took down Douglas 55-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Christopher Denn threw for 172 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 181 yards in the win.
North Valleys made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,481 from 8,612.
Jordan DeLeon was a beast in the backfield as the Raiders bested the Tigers.
Hunter Fralick threw for 461 yards and 3 touchdowns. He went 38-56 with 2 interceptions.
Jacob White was the best wideout in I Northern - High Desert this week as Spanish Springs lost to Carson. White tallied 10 receptions for 194 yards. Gehrig Parks helped Spanish Springs' passing attack out by catching 15 balls for 130 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Cougars' Fralick and Parks have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-3 quarterback Fralick has thrown for 2,489 yards this season, while Parks has 83 catches for 1,118 yards. DeLeon from Reed leads the league in rushing with 1,224 yards.
Ernie Howren's team's Trae Wells is a few successful plays short of surpassing 1,000 yards receiving this season. He needs only 90 receiving yards against Galena to hit that benchmark. So far this year, he has garnered 58 catches for 910 yards.
The Raiders led the league in scoring this week after putting up 55 points on Douglas. Denn ran for 181 yards during the win.
