Football Game Preview: Skyline Eagles vs. Cottonwood Colts

The Skyline Eagles will challenge the Cottonwood Colts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Skyline will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Last Friday, everything came up roses for Skyline against Jordan as the squad secured a 42-13 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 29 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Xavier Cocci, who threw for 396 yards and three TDs while completing 80% of his passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. 97 of Cocci's passing yards were hauled in by Luke Frey.

Meanwhile, Cottonwood took a blow against Juan Diego Catholic last Thursday, falling 35-6.

Skyline's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Cottonwood, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Everything came up roses for Skyline against Cottonwood in their previous matchup back in September of 2020, as the team secured a 69-0 win. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Colts have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
