Whitefield Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They strolled past the North Cobb Christian Eagles with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 58-41. The game was the first time the WolfPack have beaten the Eagles on their court since November 18, 2016.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Whitefield Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emahni Chambliss, who posted 13 points and six steals. Chambliss is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season. Millie Newman was another key player, putting up 16 points and eight rebounds.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Whitefield Academy will head out to challenge Milton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Cobb Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Coahulla Creek at 6:00 p.m. on the 18th.
