Football Recap: North DeSoto Griffins vs. Union Parish Farmers
North DeSoto gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They came out on top against the Union Parish Farmers by a score of 33-21.
A big part of the win came down to the chemistry between Luke Delafield and his top target Cole Cory. Delafield threw for 318 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75.9% of his passes while Cory picked up 196 receiving yards. Cory torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 70 yards.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, North DeSoto was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 574 total yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Union Parish only gained 307.
North DeSoto is headed away from home for the first time to take on Center at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North DeSoto is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road dating back to last season. As for Union Parish, they will face off against Alexandria at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
