Baseball Recap: Holy Cross Indians vs. Trimble County Raiders

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Holy Cross ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Trimble County Raiders 7-6. The win was some much needed relief for the Indians as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

David Wilson was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Cooper Brue, who went 3-for-5 with two doubles and one RBI.

Holy Cross' victory bumped their record up to 13-19. As for Trimble County, their record is now 8-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holy Cross will square off against Dixie Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Trimble County, they will challenge Gallatin County at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
