Baseball Recap: Delta Comes Up Short

Delta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Manti Templars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rabbits of the 16-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Delta saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Nielson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Delta's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Manti, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Coming up, Delta will face off against Millard at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.42 runs per game on average), something the Rabbits will no doubt try to take advantage of. Manti will be paying especially close attention to Delta's game: after Delta faces off against Millard, they'll take on Manti again at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
