Softball Game Preview: Nicholas County Bluejackets vs. Fleming County Panthers

Nicholas County is 0-6 against Fleming County since May of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Bluejackets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Nicholas County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Nicholas County came up short against Bracken County and fell 9-6.

Ady Dunn was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Madelyn Amburgey, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Fleming County made easy work of Mason County on Saturday and carried off a 7-1 victory. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Royals recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Fleming County's victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Nicholas County, their loss dropped their record down to 14-11-1.
