Mount Pleasant is 8-1 against West Stanly since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Tigers will face off against the Colts at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Mount Pleasant is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Monroe just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. The contest between the Tigers and the Redhawks didn't end well, with the Tigers falling 39-21. The Tigers were down 33-13 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, West Stanly didn't have quite enough to beat Parkwood on Friday and fell 45-42.

Mount Pleasant will have to keep a close watch on Hudson Snider and Dominik Danzy, a pair of players who had a big impact on West Stanly's prior game. Snider threw for 180 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Danzy rushed for 27 yards and one score.

West Stanly's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Mount Pleasant, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-3.

Everything came up roses for Mount Pleasant against West Stanly in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 42-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
