Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Addison Brittin and Coretta Kruse Lead the Pilgrim Academy to Victory

Leading The Pilgrim Academy to victory were Coretta Kruse and Addison Brittin. Kruse posted 13 points and six boards, while Brittin had 11 points and seven steals. The Pilgrim Academy is 4-1 when Brittin posts five or more steals, but 6-10 otherwise.

The Pilgrim Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 25 consecutive games dating back to last season.

King's Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Lillian Logan, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Lily Welsh, who put up nine points and five steals.

The Pilgrim Academy's record is now 10-11. As for King's Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-17 record this season.
