Volleyball Game Preview: Greenway Demons vs. Washington Rams

The Greenway Demons will take on the Washington Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Greenway will be strutting in after a victory while Washington will be coming in after a loss.

Greenway is headed into the contest having just posted their closest win since March 8, 2024 on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Peoria 3-2.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Greenway got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-12, 23-25, 25-18, 24-26, 16-14.

Greenway relied on the efforts of Daniel Hoang, who had 48 assists and 14 digs, and Bryce Uyesato, who had 14 digs and five aces.

They weren't the only good server: Greenway was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Meanwhile, Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to Maricopa.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-12, 23-25, 25-21.

The victory got Greenway back to even at 1-1. As for Washington, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
