Waukegan and Mundelein are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2015, but likely not for long. The Bulldogs are taking a road trip to challenge the Mustangs at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Waukegan will be strutting in after a victory while Mundelein will be coming in after a loss.

Waukegan took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against Lake Forest by a score of 3-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Waukegan hit Lake Forest with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Alexander Mu?oz, Jayden Meza, and Cameron Green.

Meanwhile, Mundelein managed to keep up with Dundee-Crown until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Mustangs lost 3-0 to the Chargers. While losing is never fun, Mundelein can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 397th, while Dundee-Crown are ranked 37th).

Waukegan now has a winning record of 5-4-1. As for Mundelein, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-15.

Waukegan took their win against Mundelein when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 4-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
