Basketball Recap: Evansville Harrison Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Evansville Harrison can now relate to. They lost 65-40 to the Jeffersonville Red Devils on Saturday. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Red Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the loss, Evansville Harrison still got an impressive performance from Shane Sims, who shot 46% from the field to rack up 22 points.

It was another big night for PJ Douglas, who went 7-for-8 en route to 17 points for Jeffersonville. What's more, Douglas posted two steals, the most he's had since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Cooper, who shot 55% from the field on his way to 13 points.

Evansville Harrison's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Jeffersonville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.

Evansville Harrison does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jeffersonville, they will square off against Mt. Vernon at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Mt. Vernon comes in on five and Jeffersonville on 15.
