Baseball Recap: Highland Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cesar Chavez last Monday, Highland came back down to earth. Highland lost 15-5 to the Chandler Wolves on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Hawks have suffered since May 2, 2024.

Beau Tarwater was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Rout, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Chandler, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-4-1.

Highland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-1 loss against Hamilton on the 20th. As for Chandler, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-3 victory against Columbine on the 20th.
