Softball Game Preview: Olympus Titans vs. West Panthers

The Olympus Titans will head out to take on the West Panthers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Olympus is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Olympus' pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Alta as Olympus made off with an 8-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won three in a row.

The result came thanks to Charlie Turner's shutout, as she gave up just five hits and racked up 12 Ks. Those 12 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, Allisson Robles was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Charlotte Comer also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Brighton, falling 16-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.

West's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Olympus, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Everything went Olympus' way against West in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Olympus made off with an 11-2 victory. Will Olympus repeat their success, or does West has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
