Softball Preview: Hillcrest Rams vs. Easley Green Wave
The Hillcrest Rams will square off against the Easley Green Wave at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hillcrest will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.

Olivia Baker made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. That run was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Maria Sialmas was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Tatum Lane was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Hillcrest was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .519. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Furthermore, McGee didn't allow a single earned run, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in May of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.
The win made it two in a row for Easley and bumps their season record up to 3-6. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Hillcrest, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.
