Football Recap: Eastern Hancock Takes a Loss

If Eastern Hancock was feeling good fresh off their 50-14 takedown of Greencastle last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Royals took a 41-27 bruising from the North Decatur Chargers on Friday. The Royals were down 35-15 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

When it comes to explaining why Eastern Hancock lost, don't look at Elijah Edon. Despite the final result, he threw for 315 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.7 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 32 yards. Gavin Bowman also helped out as he racked up 171 receiving yards.

Eastern Hancock's record now sits at 1-1. As for North Decatur, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Eastern Hancock is taking a road trip to square off against Centerville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Decatur, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Milan at 7:00 p.m.
