Preview: Bristol Warriors vs. Morrisville Bulldogs

Bristol is 10-0 against Morrisville since November of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Bristol Warriors will play host again and welcome the Morrisville Bulldogs, where kickoff is scheduled for 6:55 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Bristol slipped by New Hope-Solebury 7-6.

Kendell Cottrell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 142 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Cottrell is absolutely dominating the rushing yard category: he's posted at least 100 every time he's taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Morrisville had no problem doing just that on Friday. They didn't even let Jenkintown onto the board and left with a 20-0 victory. Morrisville might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five contests by 20 points or more this season.

Raymond Holman was his usual excellent self, rushing for 268 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per carry. Holman was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards.

Bristol has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 7-3 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.6 points per game. As for Morrisville, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Friday's match might be decided on the ground as these two are both standouts in the run game. Bristol has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 193.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Morrisville struggles in that department as they've been even better at 270.3 per game. It's looking like Friday's contest might have some serious battles in the trenches.
