Game recap: Trinity Christian High School Football Team bests Father Lopez

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Trinity Christian (Jacksonville, Fla.) grabbed a lead in the first quarter and rode that momentum to a 49-7 win over Father Lopez (Daytona Beach, Fla.).

In the first quarter, the Conquerors put up 14 points. Trinity Christian scored on a touchdown run by Gage Morrell and a Rasheed Martin touchdown run.

After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Morrell in the first quarter, TC led 35-0 at the half.

The Jacksonville school grew its lead to 42 points entering the fourth quarter. The Conquerors' lone score in the quarter came on a Kevin Toliver touchdown run.

Trinity Christian's standout player in the win was Morrell. He ran for two touchdowns.



Father Lopez's lone touchdown came on a 14-yard run by Joe Boden in the fourth quarter.

TC came into the game allowing 10.9 points per game. Father Lopez's seven points were well below their season average of 25.0 per game.

The loss comes after Father Lopez defeated Taylor 56-3 last week. With the win the Jacksonville school extended its winning streak to four games.
