Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eagle Pass). They enjoyed a cozy 58-42 win over the Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Uvalde lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Natalia Cabralez, who posted 11 points. Amilee Pulido was another key player, putting up eight points.

Eagle Pass' win ended an 11-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-12. As for Uvalde, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-12.

Eagle Pass wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-25 loss against Medina Valley on the 10th. Uvalde has also already played their next match, a 55-51 victory against John F. Kennedy on the 10th.
