Basketball Game Preview: Reagan Rattlers vs. Clark Cougars

The Reagan Rattlers will square off against the Clark Cougars at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Wednesday, Reagan was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 63-58 to Churchill.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clark). Everything went their way against SA Roosevelt on Wednesday as Clark made off with a 68-48 win. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Rough Riders are ranked 361st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Reagan has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 20-10 record this season. As for Clark, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 20-10.

Reagan strolled past Clark in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 53-39. Will Reagan repeat their success, or does Clark have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
