Softball Recap: Mogollon Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. David, Mogollon was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Holbrook Roadrunners by a score of 26-22. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Mustangs considering their two-run performance the contest before.

BELLA HOOPES was a standout: she went a perfect 5-for-5 with four stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was MYA STEPHENS, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Mogollon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 28 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Mogollon picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 6-10. As for Holbrook, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Coming up, Mogollon will host Mayer at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Holbrook, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Alchesay at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Roadrunners are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
