Volleyball Recap: A.C. Flora Takes a Loss

A.C. Flora was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Florence Knights. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

The 2-1 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-23, 15-12.

A.C. Flora's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for West Florence, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season.

After both having extra time off, A.C. Flora and Emerald will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for West Florence, they will take on Ridge View at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
