Softball Recap: Park City Comes Up Short

Park City came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Skyline Eagles, falling 11-1. The loss continues a trend for the Miners in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.

Olivia Johnson was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Park City's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Skyline, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Park City will square off against Tooele at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tooele will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Park City surely won't give up without a fight. As for Skyline, they will challenge Olympus at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Olympus' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Skyline's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
