Basketball Recap: Newton (Home School) Takes a Loss

Newton (Home School) was the 36-28 winner over Flint Hills Christian when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs fell 64-51 to the Warriors on Friday.

When it comes to explaining why Newton (Home School) lost, don't look at Ephraim Oller. Despite the final result, he went 9-for-21 on his way to 25 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Hoelscher, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards.

Newton (Home School)'s loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Newton (Home School) will face off against Chanute Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Flint Hills Christian, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Onaga at 7:00 p.m. on December 9.
