Volleyball Game Preview: Henry Clay Blue Devils vs. Ryle Raiders

The Henry Clay Blue Devils will head out on the road to take on the Ryle Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Henry Clay made easy work of Marion County and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Devils.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Henry Clay took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-12, 25-9.

Meanwhile, Ryle faced Calvary Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Raiders had just enough and edged out the Cougars 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won four in a row.

Ryle's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-2-1. As for Henry Clay, their win bumped their record up to 16-7.

Henry Clay beat Ryle 2-0 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
