Burnet's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Mount Vernon, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Burnet has already played their next match, a 49-40 win against Connally on the 13th. As for Mount Vernon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 43-27 defeat against Taylor on the 13th.
