Nipomo's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-10. As for Pioneer Valley, they pushed their record up to 15-5 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Nipomo came up short against Pioneer Valley in their previous meeting back in May of 2023, falling 3-0. Thankfully for Nipomo, Estevan Fonseca (who didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out eight over seven innings pitched) won't be suiting up this time.
